The Sunday Post – 12/2/17

It’s been another busy week for me. We had a full week at work but took Friday afternoon off to go and celebrate a colleague finishing her apprenticeship and starting as a Commodity Specialist with us – she’ll basically be doing the same job she’s been doing for the past couple of years, but now she’ll be getting paid better for it.

On Wednesday I went to an event at Waterstones in Edinburgh for Emma Flint’s debut novel Little Deaths. It was a book I was already interested in, but the way Emma spoke about it sold it even more so I can’t wait to start reading it. It’s been another week of not reading very much, but I did get through Ragdoll by Daniel Cole, another crime fiction novel I really enjoyed.

This week I purchased Little Deaths at the Waterstones event, I also picked up copies of Unconventional and Heartless. I also went on a bit of a YA requesting streak on NetGalley and was approved for The Last Thing You Said, The Inconceivable Life of Quinn, Beware That Girl, Lessons in Falling, The Pearl Thief, Bad Girl Gone, Wishbones and Letters to the Lost. So hopefully this week will be a little quieter and I’ll get chance to make my way through some of them.
