Evening all, As normal I’m linking up with the weekly meme hosted by Sam over at Taking on a World of Words.
What are you currently reading?
Look I’m down to two!
The Irregular by H.B. Lyle
No progress on this one, but I am determined to get to the end of it this month!
Career of Evil by Robert Galbraith
About the book:
When a mysterious package is delivered to Robin Ellacott, she is horrified to discover that it contains a woman’s severed leg.
Her boss, private detective Cormoran Strike, is less surprised but no less alarmed. There are four people from his past who he thinks could be responsible – and Strike knows that any one of them is capable of sustained and unspeakable brutality.
With the police focusing on the one suspect Strike is increasingly sure is not the perpetrator, he and Robin take matters into their own hands, and delve into the dark and twisted worlds of the other three men. But as more horrendous acts occur, time is running out for the two of them…
A fiendishly clever mystery with unexpected twists around every corner, Career of Evil is also a gripping story of a man and a woman at a crossroads in their personal and professional lives. You will not be able to put this book down.
I’m a few hours into this one, it definitely picked up quicker the The Silkworm and I’m loving it.
What did you recently finish reading?
The Missing Girls – The 3rd book in the Robyn Carter series by Carol Wyer, it appeared on NetGalley on Thursday and I’d finished it by Saturday afternoon. Another wonderful story from Carol!
Dream Job – Look I finished it! Didn’t really get on with it unfortunately, there were bits when it seemed to pick up and then it veered off in a different direction, almost like it didn’t really know what it wanted to be.
The Silkworm – I spent all of Sunday with this playing in the background, it was wonderful! It was a little slow to pick up but enjoyable nonetheless.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I posted my TBR this week, you can find it here, my plan is to pick up Good Friday next, but I’m braving the madness of the fringe on Saturday and I really need to catch up on writing some reviews so I’m not sure how much reading time I’ll have.
Let me know what you’re reading in the comments!
